Guidelines for the Preparation and Submission of the Abstracts

  1. Introduction
    The following guidelines are provided to facilitate the submission of high-quality research abstracts in a professional manner. All abstracts should be  based on original work and plagiarism  constitutes grounds for disqualification. Authors should make sure that the abstracts submitted to the TechInn 2024 has not been published previously or is not currently under consideration for publication in any journals or conferences. Authors of the accepted abstracts will be requested to submit the full papers to be published in the conference proceedings which will be provided to at least one of the authors who register and present the paper. The deadline for the submission and the abstract template is available in the conference website of the Faculty of Technology. Early submission is encouraged as it helps editorial board to manage the review process in a timely manner. Authors should strictly follow the submission guidelines.
  2. General Guidelines
  • The abstract must present the background, objectives, methodology (Experimental design and data analysis) results, and conclusion based on the results.
  • The title should be brief and explain the study reported.
  • All the authors should be listed after the title. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all authors have seen, approved and are fully conversant with the contents of the abstract.
  • All authors are responsible for the accuracy of the manuscript.
  • The abstract must be submitted as an MS Word file.
  1. Formatting
  • The text of the abstract should not exceed 300 words.
  • Paper size: A4
  • Margins: left – 3 cm, top, bottom and right – 2.5 cm
  • Font: Times New Roman; Alignment: Justify ; Single line spacing.
  • Corresponding author’s email address should be indicated with an asterix.
  • Minimum of five (05) keywords should be indicated.
  • Figures, tables, and citations should not be included.
  • Standard abbreviations of SI units should be used.
  • The papers should be fully in English (British English is preferred) and should be free of grammatical and spelling inaccuracies. You are encouraged to proof read carefully prior to the submission.
  1. Declaration by the authors and submission:
  • The author declaration form (available at the conference website) should be duly filled and
    signed by all the authors.
  • The scan copy of the filled and signed declaration form should be submitted along with the abstract on or before the deadline.
  • All submissions should be made via the Microsoft CMT account.
